Sales of cannabis jump in 2020
In the year of our lord two thousand and twenty, it’s been batshit crazy!
Everywhere around the world, from small uninhabited islands to major metropolitan cities 2020 so far is nuts and getting nuttier.
This may be one explanation for the significant rise in global cannabis sales.
In Europe, consumers of cannabis are projected to spend 70 billion dollars on cannabis. To understand the market during a global pandemic, cannabis flower which is most widely consumed is increasing around the world and consumers are adding to their regular intake by adding edibles and other infused products which have also seen their numbers grow.
With a market of 742 million people, Europe is the largest medical cannabis market in the world and is worth about 60 billion.
The US also has a sizeable market, but with federal legalization restrictions and many states struggling with how to make cannabis legal, the numbers are a bit of a hodgepodge. Nonetheless, where cannabis is legal, sales are soaring.
